Role Overview:
Gem Health seeks a Full Stack Engineer with expertise in modern web technologies to design and develop Gem’s next generation virtual sleep care solution. As part of the engineering team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and maintainable systems. We are building a safe and reliable healthcare experience that patients expect but re-thinking it to deliver simplicity and delight with each interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Attend engineering and cross-functional team meetings
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and emerging standards
- Work closely with QA engineers to ensure thorough testing and validation of software applications
Qualifications:
- Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies
- Good understanding of security principles and practices
- Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Previous experience with client and server implementations REST and GraphQL APIs
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science of similar field, or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
- Experience with healthcare-specific regulations and standards (e.g. HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Previous experience with healthcare API’s and protocols (e.g. HL7, FHIR)
